2/6/2022:
I am becoming more aware of the constant notifications from my devices, including my truck. I turned off Outlook notifications on my laptop and trying to respond to other notifications by turning them off. My truck, a 2020, did not come with a printed owners manual. I can get to the manual on the dashboard screen and downloaded the 500 page manual to my laptop. One of the first things I need to explore is turning off many if not all of the notification. If I turn on the truck and get out of the car (clearing snow?) it beeps the horn at me if I close the door. When I turn off my truck, it beeps at me to check the back seat for passengers. There are rarely people in my back seat. There is a lane notification when you touch the lane edges. The first time I went to pass someone the dashboard went nuts, flashing red and beeping, warning me of a immanent collision because I had cross the lane makers with both sides of tires. I turned that off immediately. I used to think that the notifications were good. I am starting to understand that most of them are not.
