My home office in NY has some high cabinets and shelves. I often need to use a step stool to reach the higher shelves. The one I use is a standard metal foldable one with paint stains on it. I thought I should make one that matches the furniture and cabinets in the office. I often listen to the Making It podcast (https://iliketomakestuff.com/podcasts/). I remembered that one of the podcast participants, David Picciuto (https://makesomething.com/), sold plans, so I bought plans for a small step stool. It features a few techniques new to me, but otherwise looks pretty simple. Going to try to make it today.
