2/26/2022:
I recently started Godel, Escher, Bach: Eternal Golden Braid for the third time. The last time was probably decades ago. I had lent out my copy and lost track of it, but it was the pre-20th anniversary edition. I am now reading the 20th Anniversary Edition. It was interesting to read Douglas’ introduction to the book after 20 years. The first two times I read it I got about 2/3s of the way through before life intervened. I am hopeful of finishing it this time. I am interested more and more in the thinking process and I think this will help in that endeavor. The book starts out with an introduction to Bach. I have often thought I should explore classical music: maybe I start here. I had read it was good for the brain.
