Started a second New Kratky Hydroponics Seed Starting System in the equipment room. It has two levels, with the bottom level now planted. I bought ten gallon containers that I thought I could move outside when the plants needed to be hardened, but the containers with water and nutrients are too heavy to really move around. So I may start planting the top level in soil or seed starting mix in containers, which would lend themselves to moving onto hardening and then into the ground. At this time of year my goal is to get as many plants into the ground as quickly as I can. The growing season in the Adirondacks (zone 4B) and the Champlain Islands (zone 5A) are short and I need to be efficient with managing them.
