I had noticed that I do not seem have any earthworms, as far as I know, at our Adirondacks property. I was thinking of introducing them to the garden this year.

Today I read a permies.com forum discussion on earthworms being bad for the environment in many cases. Prior to today, I would have listed earthworms as an almost unquestionable good. I find the new information a little depressing.
