I am working through the “Understanding your why” section of the course. I think it boils down to wanting to organize and sharpen my thinking around my interests and attract readers interested in the same areas. The writing alone would improve my thinking, with comments bringing further improvements. I currently use Joplin as my note-taking, and I could just use that to write. But writing with others in mind will force me to write more clearly. I realize that this is a self-centered purpose. Why should anyone read my attempts at clear thinking? Maybe there are would-be readers who are also looking for more clarity. Time will tell.
