I have read an enormous number of books in my 68 years. Most of them I barely recall. Probably not a waste of time, but certainly not optimized. I now read mostly digitally and highlight passages. I also try to make notes as to why I highlighted a particular text. So, I input my highlights and notes from Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and asked ChatGPT 3.5 for a critique, then a summary, then and analysis of the book, based on my notes and highlights. The analysis was the best of them, but I did not feel that my highlights and notes had any impact on the AI analysis. I will publish shortly both my notes and ChatGPT’s analysis. I should then go to my highlights and notes and edit the AI analysis to add my thoughts.
