I am working on carving a wooden bowl out of a piece of maple with an angle grinder. This is the first time carving, and really the first time using an angle grinder. I did not know that there were grinding and sanding discs for the grinder, and it has been interesting experimenting with them. My only real issue, and one that has the project on hold, is that, particularly for the inside of the bowl, the dust kicks up into my face. I wear a dust mask, but if I put goggles over my eyeglasses I cannot see with the moisture buildup. If I don’t wear goggles, the dust really irritates my eyes. I have started researching for a cowl to put over the grinder that can be attached to a vacuum to manage the dust.
