While driving and walking, I was listening to podcasts. But I found that the podcasts were becoming more and more commercial. The podcast guests were selling. So I started listening to books using Audible. But I can not highlight passages or take notes while driving or walking, so I turned to AI, ChatGPT, to make summaries so I can review them and try to retain what I read. My latest workflow has me asking AI for an executive summary, flashcards, and a mind map. I ask these to be in three, downloadable files, contained in a zip file. The executive summary in a markdown file that I can transfer to my Obsidian vault. The flashcards in a comma separated file for import into Anki, a flashcard app. I have not yet decided what to do with the mind maps.

I also used a similar workflow with books I have read on Kindle where I did notes and highlights. I ask AI for the same three files, but upload a markdown file to the AI that it can use for the files.
