In cutting the boards for the dining room table, there were small gaps between the boards. The gaps were considerably smaller than prior table, so my cutting skills have improved, but the gaps needed to be filled. In the past I first tried mixing sawdust from the project with some wood glue and filling the gaps with that, but the process was messy and getting the mixture into the gaps a bit frustrating. After that, I tried Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler, which worked better but was a little too thick for the size of the gaps.
For this table, I used Goodfilla Cherry Wood and Grain Filler. I applied the filler using Surgical Online Metal Spatula. This worked really well. At first, the filler looked too red, but when it dried it matched the cherry of the table. The excess sanded easily. Definitely recommend giving this a try if you need to fill gaps.
