I have always been interested in learning electronics, including robotics and sensors. I have started numerous times, acquiring books and kits, but never got any momentum going. Often the reason was stopping was time commitments to work and family. Now retired, time is less of an issue. The accumulation of materials in my shop was becoming a cognitive burden. I have decided to start again, this time hopefully with a little more determination.
With the help of AI, I selected a very simple and basic kit, the SparkFun Inventor’s Kit. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CDZTBKPV?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

Have you struggled with maintaining momentum at times? If you have tried learning electronics, what was your path?

I returned this kit. The board would not connect to the Arduino IDE. I had not had that problem with any other Arduino or Arduino-compatible board. This is an entry-level kit and should not present a connection problem.
